Our Vision

  • is of a world that has ended the era of Ecocide;
  • where peace exists and people and planet are put first.

Our Mission

  • is to seed the required drafting for others to take forward a law of Ecocide, to be fully implemented by all nations by 2020.

We cherish the following:

To Be Visionary

  • in all that we do, being creative and innovative, shining a light on what is required and showing that it is possible to create a better world.

To Be Inspiring

  • in all that we do, seeding and nurturing a positive vision.

To Unify

  • by inviting in the potential for people and planet to connect from a place of care.

To Collaborate

  • with others who share the same values.

To Be Decentralised

  • so that we build diversity of voices who are taking the law of Ecocide forward.

Caring for the Environment

  • is an individual as well as collective endeavor, both in our personal as well as our professional lives, in what we choose to use, how we choose to live and how we choose to do business.

Reduction of Emissions

  • We gift to the Trees for Life Caledonian Forest scheme. This was chosen because it is based in Scotland where Polly Higgins is from.
  • Trees for Life gifted the setting up of our own grove and in the year of 2011- 2012, 61 trees were planted on our behalf.
  • For us, this is about being carbon conscious rather than offsetting. The number of trees planted reflect the carbon footprint of the Earth Community Trust for 2012, and for each year a carbon audit is undertaken, we shall plant more trees.

Ethos

  • We are a People and Planet organisation, that puts people and planet first. For us, our vision and values are our ethos.

Well-Being

  • starts with the self. Our belief in the well-being of humanity and the well-being of all beings is of utmost importance.
  • free use of the Earth Community Trust's Kinesiologist is given as an alternative to private healthcare schemes.

Our Code of Ethics for Volunteers

  2. you shall honour all requests of confidentiality;
